  1. Is DBB safe?

Yes. Dynamic Body Balancing (DBB) is generally considered safe for people of all ages, including infants, pregnant women, and individuals with chronic conditions. DBB was originally created to support pregnant mothers and newborn infants.  It is gentle, non-invasive, and does not involve forceful manipulations. Your DBB practitioner will help determine the best schedule for your needs based on your body’s response and progress.

  2. Why is DBB Safe?
    • Gentle Approach. DBB uses soft tissue release, craniosacral therapy, and myofascial unwinding rather than aggressive movements to create changes in whole-body systems. Our approach is then led by the individual needs of each patient.
    • Body-Led Healing. It encourages the body to engage its natural, inherent ability to correct misalignments without using force.
    • Suitable for All Ages. DBB can be used safely on newborns, the elderly, and individuals with fragile health conditions.

    Precautions & Considerations:

    • While DBB is safe, it should be performed by a trained practitioner familiar with the technique.
    • Individuals with severe medical conditions, recent fractures, or acute infections should consult a healthcare professional before treatment.
    • Some people may experience temporary soreness post-treatment as the body adjusts. This is typically mild and short-lived.

Dynamic Body Balancing is a holistic, low-risk therapy that promotes natural alignment, relaxation, and healing.

We will address the soft tissue (muscles, ligaments and tendons) surrounding the joint space and then use an Activator tool, a low-force adjusting technique, to align the bone so that the joint will be more apt to stay in place and remain corrected.

  3. What should I wear for a DBB session?

Unrestricted clothing works best, i.e. yoga pants, joggers, t-shirts, etc.

  4. How often will I need to do DBB?
    1. For Acute Issues (Pain, Injury, or Pregnancy Support)
    • Weekly or bi-weekly sessions may be recommended initially.
    • Once improvement is noticed, sessions can be spaced out to every 2-4 weeks.
    1. Chronic Conditions or Long-Term Imbalances
    • Starting with weekly or bi-weekly sessions can help address deep-seated tension.
    • Over time, sessions can be reduced to once a month or as needed for maintenance.
    1. Infants & Children
    • Newborns may benefit from 1-3 sessions to address birth-related issues.
    • Additional sessions can be scheduled for developmental support or if new concerns arise.
    1. General Wellness & Maintenance
    • Many people choose monthly or seasonal sessions to maintain balance and prevent injury.
    • Those with high stress, active lifestyles, or physical demands often benefit from more frequent sessions.
  5. Is DBB Painful?

No. Dynamic Body Balancing (DBB) is not painful. It is a gentle, hands-on technique that works with the body’s natural movements and energy to release tension and restore balance.

  6. What Will I Experience During a Session?
    • Deep Relaxation
    • Momentary Soreness or Tingling
    • Possible Emotional Release

Overall, DBB is designed to be a comfortable, soothing, and effective therapy, making it safe for all ages, including infants and pregnant women.
